CDS provides geotechnical drilling as a stand-alone service, or in conjunction with environmental assessments as part of environmental construction and Brownfield development.
CDS employs the AMS automatic drop hammer. The auto-drop hammer is an attachment that was created for the purpose of doing geotechnical work, to meet ATM D1586 standards. This is a standard test method for soil penetration and split-barrel sampling of soils, commonly known as Standard Penetration Test (SPT).
The hammer is operated from the control panel assembly, which swings away from the drilling rig, allowing the operator to control the advancement of the sampler while remaining a safe distance from the hammer.
